A SHOWCASE OF MY WORK

Marie Maguire (splashback)

Marie contacted me after she had a new kitchen installed and was looking to get her cooker wall  & under her window sill tiled.  She had purchased the tiles and just required them fitted.  She did, however, ask me to supply black grout to create a striking look which I feel has been achieved.  I also used black silicone to seal along the worktops.

James Doyle (shower room)

James got in touch with me when he began renovating his house.  The first job he required was to tile his en suite shower room.  He supplied all the materials, all he required was to have them fitted.  The finished job is very in keeping with the style of his house and has nice contrast with the black & white tiles.

Donald Rae (splashback)

Donald contacted me to tile his kitchen splashback with tiles he had already sourced.  We discussed some different ideas about the best way to use the tiles he had and the finished job shows we made the right decision.  I was asked to provide the adhesive and cream coloured grout which I was happy to do.  We were both delighted with the end product.

Iain MacCallum (splashback, floor & more)

Over the last couple of years I have done several jobs for Iain and his wife Margaret.  These include a 60m² stone floor (covering the entire bottom level of a cottage),

kitchen splashback and several concreting jobs.  Photos of the splashback and concrete work, with pictures of the floor to follow.

Catherine Armour (bathroom)

Catherine contacted me to have her bathroom walls fully tiled.  She supplied all materials so it was just a case of fitting.  The tiles were 600mm x 300mm and were fitted in a staggered pattern.  She asked me to fit new skirtings and door facings in the room which I was happy to do, as well as a new toilet roll holder, towel ring and mirror.  The transformation in the room is huge and she is delighted with the final result.

Maureen Doherty (splashback)

Mrs Doherty contacted me and asked if I could supply and some tiles for her kitchen.  When she bought her house 8 years ago the kitchen had a black marble tiled splashback which she did not like and she decided it was time to change it.  She gave me a rough idea what she wanted and left it up to me to source the tiles which she was delighted with.  I removed the old tiles and made good the walls.  She asked me to install the new tiles using no spacers and grout; she simply wanted each tile touching the next.  This was an unusual request and I explained that there should be grout but she said she prefers no grout as she feels this way is maintenance free.  She was thrilled with the end result.

Joe Carson (floor)

Joe contacted me to enquire about tiling his floor in his living room area.  It was quite a large room and he decided he wanted to tile a walkway from the front door, through the room towards the kitchen.  He also wanted the bay window area tiled as well as a small hearth area.  This then allowed him to use one piece of carpet to do the rest, therefore eliminating the need for joins.  It was an unusual request but the finished job shows his idea was a good one.  He also requested that I did not remove the skirting or cut the facing and asked that I just cut the tiles round these areas, I've included some pictures of this to show how neatly it can be done, if required.  Joe supplied all materials.

Sandy Wilson (shower room)

A year or so after completing Sandy's main wet room she contacted me to do her smaller shower room.  She supplied all the tiles which were stunning grey porcelain.  She wanted a row of matt, then a row of high gloss repeated on her walls, and the floor done with the same high gloss tiles used for the walls.  On this occasion I also removed her old WC and sink and then fitted the new ones you see in the photos. The result looks very nice as the photos show.
